Is there an alternative to Uggs??

My friend messaged me recently asking if I could suggest an alternative to Uggs. The sherpa-lined suede boots that our feet have come to love and thank us for. I know, you’re thinking, ‘Wow, this is gonna be a really deep post!” These are the hard-hitting questions I’m here for.

So, I had to think about her question for a while because I kept coming up a ‘no?’. What else is super cozy, super warm and stylish? And I”m not saying Uggs are still stylish. Their fine. They had their moment when they were super duper cute to wear to out-and-about. But each year the acceptability of them as anything more than glorified slipper wans.

Like many of us, my friend needs the updated version of Uggs to throw on before a yoga class or running after our kids in the park. The new “Ugg” is not going to be cozy, warm, comfortable AND stylish. It’s not going to be an Ugg. But that’s ok, we can all handle something more than a slipper when we leave our home.

So, I’ve rounded my favorite comfortable, casual,  cold-weather shoes that can be that go-to for throwing on. This includes sneakers, wellies, waterproof booties. And I did throw in one wedge, which you may not think of as that easy, running-around shoe. But these Sorel wedges are crazy comfortable for a heel and keep your feet dry. So, just a thought if you want to step you casual-game.

  1. Thanks! I’ve come to the same conclusion that nothing can measure up to the comfort of uggs but this helped me see outside the box! There are more options than I thought…looking forward to maybe spending an afternoon trying on some of these at Nordstrom!
