Trend Talk: Fall florals

First things first, allow me to introduce my good blogger friend, Lauren from Farm Skinny   She’s a super sweet, super stylish stay-at-home-mom and blogger. When we first met thru volunteer work, we instantly clicked! Though our styles are quite different, we both adore each other’s fashion sense. So we’ve teamed up with our favorite women’s shop, Evereve, to style fall looks with our own take on it.

The first trend we’re looking at is fall florals. This print is BIG this season and it comes in so many variations. From boho to hippie to Victorian, there is a floral for every kind of style.

I often shy away from girly prints like florals, but I fell in love with black Brave dress. It combines the embroidery trend that’s continuing from Spring with the moody floral trend of Fall. And that ruffled, poufy sleeve? In theory that sounds like a lot going on in a dress, but it works! Its so chic. I adore it paired with a chunky suede bootie. But it could easily be dressed up with a strappy heel or dressed down more with a flat ankle bootie and military jacket.

Lauren, on the other hand, is easily drawn to pretty florals with her bohemian sense of style. I loved how she opted for an ethnic floral kimono by Lovestitch and totally dressed it down with a tee, skinny jeans and mules. Doesn’t she look effortlessly chic? If she wanted to dress this up, I’m thinking she could add a velvet tank, flare jeans and metallic heels.
