Vest Dressed

Happy Friday, friends!! I’m sure you all are busy getting your work wrapped up so you can get to fun weekend plans, so I’m going to get right to the point – it’s vest season. Puffy vests, sweater vests, fleece vests, dressy vests, vest shrimp, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, fried shrimp…wait, what? I just got stuck in a Forrest Gump shrimp trance. Whoa!

Back to what I was saying about vests- ’tis the season! But the one I’m thinking about is the long vest. I’d say that it almost looks like a coat without sleeves, buuuuuut that’s pretty much what all vests look like, right? No, I know, it’s more like a long blazer without sleeves! Yes, thank you words for not failing me. And it’s the perfect transitional piece for this time of year. Pairs well with a tee or a cami when temps are warm and then layers over a sweater or turtleneck in the cooler months ahead. Here is my new vest purchase from Evereve along with a few suggestions to get you looking your vest dressed.

Do you love??! I wore this look with sneakers and no necklace earlier in the day and felt so put-together.

Vest by Peyton Jensen and vegan leather leggings by Lysse both from Evereve. T-shirt from Kit & Ace. Sunglasses by Ray Ban available at Macy’s. Necklace and bracelet from Stella & Dot.
