Miami trip inspo

A friend came to me recently to help her shop for an up-coming girls getaway to Miami. Now, at this point in August my mind has completely shut off summer fashion and is yearning for fall favorites. Boots, jackets, layers…LAYERS!  That word just makes me sweat thinking about it. But in my mind, the leaves in Columbus are beginning to change, I’m sipping some pumpkin-y beverage, and dropping temps beg for a sweater to keep the chill at bay.

Back to reality, it is hot in hur (sorry for the Nelly reference. I’m embarrassed for myself right now), and my gal pal needs some killer Miami looks. And you know what, this is the perfect time of year to shop for, say, a late fall or early winter beach vacation. There’s lots of great sales and tons to pick from still. Come November, when you’re browsing around for that holiday getaway, pickins’ gonna be slim. So, with plenty to choose from, here are some fun girls trip-inspired looks we picked out for my friend’s trip!

Dress by Blq from Ladybird is the perfect travel dress. You can layer up on the plane and strip down to the dress when you get to Miami.

L’Space bikini from Everything But Water

Cut-out swimsuit by J. Crew currently 30% off. A fun cut and offers a little more coverage

Cover up by La Blanca available at Nordstrom

Maddock Fedora by Brixton available at Revolve

Tabitha dress by Dress The Population at Nordstrom. Because sometimes you just need a little sparkle.

Off-the-shoulder romper by Free People. This would be great with flats and a straw hat or dressed up with metallic heels!

Dress by Lacausa available in white at Revolve  or blue at Ladybird. This could easily be dressed up, but would be perfect with flat sandals and hat for wondering around Lincoln Avenue.
