What to Wear: TASTE at Wonderland

In just a little over a week, the annual TASTE event for Dress For Success will be held at the brand spankin’ new Wonderland space downtown on Thursday, May 6th. If you’re not familiar with the spot, a few super talented local entrepreneurs rehabbed the old Wonder Bread factory on 4th St. and have turned it into a creative community that will host artists studios, coworking spaces, recording studios, retail space, etc. And next week’s TASTE event is the perfect chance to get an insider’s peek of the place. Plus enjoy an evening of fab food, wine, beer, music, fashion and people all for a good cause. And who doesn’t love having fun for the sake of a good cause, hmm?

Now, what to wear? Well, this is an evening to support both the creative and fashion communities, which are one and the same. So have fun with what you wear, get creative, try something new. This is definitely worth dressing up for, but no need to pull out the über formal wear. Need some ideas? This should help.

* Feeling romantic? Go for a sweet liberty print floral, but ground the girlish print with some serious black accessories and a cool boyfriend blazer.

* Feeling laid back ? Spring’s neutral trend is perfect for you. Think relaxed trousers, a crossbody bag, and slouchy tank decked out in sequins all in a pale blush tone.

*Sick of your LBD? Go for the LBR:  little black romper! Keep it from looking too young or sweet  with bold  accessories in brown leather, animal prints, and earthy stones

*Coming straight from work?  Give your basic button down and trousers an instant update with layered statement necklaces and sleek clutch that you packed in your purse.
